22/01/2012 – Dyslexics 12 – 1 Japan Soc. New year, old score.

We’re back, in sensational style. As per usual. Which probably makes it the opposite of sensational.

Japan Soc were better than expected, considering they drew 1-1 with Gibraltar, but we could and should have won by more. No point in writing much more, we were pretty good, but the wind was a bitch and made the transition from defence to attack more laborious than usual.

As mentioned in the debrief, we know we’ve made it when winning 12-1 doesn’t feel like a big deal.

The only important thing to note is that Sam Fox is now only 4 goals off a 100 total for his Dyslexics career. Bring on Tuesday.

Scorers: George (5), Sam F (4), Matt (2), Sam S

Goal of the Game: Sam Strong’s was gorgeous, a beautiful three pass move that tore through the Japanese defence in a manner reminiscent of Barcelona against Arsenal in last year’s Champions League quarter final. George scored a stunning left footed volley from a ridiculous angle, but he’s paranoid that I’ve got it in for him, and he’s totally correct, so he doesn’t win.

About Dave

I'm not biased, I hate every team, and often the sport itself.
